A strong market contender akin to the likes of Renault and Mercedes, the Nissan Townstar EV is a full electric vehicle that offers great economical value with a 5-year warranty.

While the base Visia trim has limited functionality, with a 4-to-7-hour charge time, the Nissan Townstar EV offers three higher trim levels, offering more rapid charging capabilities. These trim levels can charge their 45kwh batteries from a 22kw charger in 2 hours, or from 0-80% at a DC charger in less than 40 minutes.

The electric motor offers 183 miles of range, an increase of 45% over the previous model, but it requires sticking strictly to the eco mode to make the most of this range.

The load capacity is impressive for an EV, with the L1 and L2 variants able to take up to 2 Euro pallets apiece, and a maximum load of 500-702kg depending on the model. While this doesn’t match the 689-770kg capacities of the diesel models, it’s not far off, and comes with the added benefits of cost-saving and eco-friendliness.
