Rapid Energy and Global Vans: A Case Study

Established in February 2020, Rapid Energy are an ambitious and fast-growing temporary heating and cooling solution company. We were approached by Rapid Energy in May 2020 with a view to finding a new vehicle to expand their fleet.

Like many companies before and since, Rapid Energy understood the benefits of leasing over buying (not expending too much capital upfront, ability to spread costs and VAT, a new vehicle for a great first impression, lower overheads on repairs/maintenance etc.).

That’s where Global Vans comes in!

Rapid Energy’s CEO Julian Fougere discussed the needs of the business with Justin, a senior member of our vehicle sourcing team. Global Vans were then able to source a vehicle exactly to Rapid Energy’s specification, and build a finance deal to match the company’s requirements. Having leased commercial vehicles before, Rapid Energy knew what they were looking for and had a good idea of the market. We did as Global Vans does best, and found them a great vehicle at a cheaper than market price!

The Challenge

As always – Our first challenge is making sure we understand the needs of our customers and finding them the right vehicle and finance package for their business.

Rapid Energy asked us to find medium sized van with a high spec, which we delivered in the form of the ever popular Ford Transit Custom Limited.

After speaking about the future use of the vehicle, we were also able to tailor a finance package to suit the needs of their business.

The secondary challenge for Global Vans was sourcing and delivering a van at the beginning of the pandemic.

The key to solving this was great communication, ensuring all parties were appraised of the new working processes.

This meant ensuring everything ran smoothly with the new safety procedures set out by the suppliers, delivery drivers, and Global Vans.

Opting for a Finance Lease – we were able to get Rapid Energy the best possible price on their new van, while ensuring that the finance package provided them important flexibility in terms of mileage and end of lease options.

Since the lease of their LWB Ford Transit Custom Limited with us, we have been able to provide Rapid Energy with further vehicles for their expanding fleet.
