The cost of maintenance is definitely something you should factor in if you are considering business vehicle leasing. How much you pay to maintain your vehicle is a big factor when considering the whole life van lease cost.

Taking out a maintenance contract to support your lease is a great way to avoid unexpected servicing and repair costs. A maintenance package can also provide peace of mind, with features like service scheduling ensuring you never forget to arrange routine services.

What are the Benefits of a Maintenance Package?

Fixed Monthly Cost: Letting you spread the cost of maintenance across the term of your business vehicle leasing deal.

Approved Garages: Repairs are carried out by accredited garages who comply with the high standards set out by the manufacturer and van leasing company.

VAT: If you are VAT registered, the cost of your maintenance contract is 100% VAT reclaimable.

What is covered?

Although packages can vary across providers, most maintenance packages include:

  • MOT (if vehicle lease is longer than 3 years)
  • Service Scheduling
  • Routine Servicing and Maintenance
  • Tyre Replacement/Repair
  •  Mechanical Repairs for Wear and Tear

What isn’t covered?

  • Accidental damage/vandalism
  • Repairs/replacements due to driver negligence (lack of routine services)
  • Broken, stolen or missing items (hub caps/aerials)
  • Tyre replacements due to theft/negligence/vandalism
  • Excessive tyre replacements due to punctures
  • Damaged windscreen/glass replacement
  • Misfuelling
  • Consumables (oil, lubricant, Ad Blue, fluids)
